Student:  Morgan Roscow

Dates:  Jan. 21 – May 23

Location:  University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland

Morgan is a Junior at McKendree University from Fenton, Missouri and will be studying abroad at the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland.  The University of Limerick is one of the best options for a truly integrated experience in Ireland based on its central location and the wide variety of Irish-related courses available to students.  Morgan is a sociology major and is a very involved student on campus.  An active member of the Residence Life staff in New Hall West, she hopes to gain a better understanding of what international students/residents feel when they come to a new country to learn.  Morgan has been incredibly motivated to study abroad and has an enthusiasm for it that will no doubt endear her to the community in Ireland where she will live and learn for the next five months.  Morgan hopes that her experiences in Ireland will be helpful to her as a sociology major, giving her different views on society and the opportunity to experience another culture.  “I want to be able to go there and experience this overflowing joy and thrill of being in another country and meeting new people.”
